Camping In Fundy
Second last vacation trip of the summer. We had a blast! My sister and her family joined us for most of the time we were there – just a 3 nighter.
First family photo in a long time - taken on the Caribou Plains walk.
We went kayaking for an hour on Bennett lake – great fun!
Bennett Lake reflected in Mariecke’s sunglasses!
Another view from the same hike – technically the Wolfe Point segment.
Jiffy Pop! Larissa’s first time!
-All photos taken on my phone!

Losing
Just wanted to share - I have been using an app on my phone (also a website) called MyFitnessPal to help me lose some weight. One of the biggest benefits has been the education. I have learned so much about what I really need, and portion control, self control, and relative values of food.
So far, I lost 20 pounds in the first month. I have been at this for about 6 weeks now, and the last time I checked I was down 25 pounds. I feel good, and did not expect to lose the weight this fast. So far it has been a combination of choosing less food, less calories, and a little bit of exercise. Not rocket science - I don't know why I didn't do this earlier. The plan takes into account your age, height and weight, and what you want to lose and then tells you how many calories you should eat. You can earn more though exercise, and the app tracks everything you do - it even has a barcode scanner.
My sister got me to try it - I was game because the 300 mark was getting to close for comfort, and being 40 it was only going to get more difficult. I started the program at 277 pounds, not right next to 300, but close enough.
